Swimmers in grades 3-11 are welcome to join the Hewlett Swim Club. Hewlett Swim Club members are competitive swimmers. Children should be able-bodied swimmers, and be able to demonstrate stroke and breathing skills for competitive strokes (commonly Red Cross level 4 or higher). Participants should be committed to swimming in a team program where sportsmanship and teamwork are important elements of the Swim Club experience. Those who are unable to swim continuously using rhythmic breathing and competitive strokes should not register. Tryouts are on Monday, September 29th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Swim Club practices begin on Monday, October 6th.
